Biography

Mr. Sam Orech is a Ugandan public health specialist and academic serving as Senior Graduate Fellow at Busitema University’s Faculty of Health Sciences. He has extensive experience in disease prevention, outbreak response, and health systems strengthening, having worked with Uganda Red Cross Society on Ebola response and with Medical Teams International in refugee health programs. 
His expertise spans WASH, malaria control, maternal and child health, and community health systems. Orech has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications on public health challenges in Uganda, including nutrition, infectious diseases, and health expenditure. He combines research, teaching, and field practice to advance evidence-based public health interventions.
