Biography

Ms.Josephine Nanyondo is a Lecturer at Busitema University. She holds a Masters degree of Science in Applied Mathematics of Makerere University, a Bachelor of Science in Education (Mathematics/Computer Science) of Busitema University, and currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at Makerere University. Her teaching experience covers a wide range of undergraduate courses, including Probability Theory, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Number Theory, Mechanics, Biomathematics, Calculus, and Statistical methods, reflecting both depth and versatility in mathematical instruction. Ms. Nanyondo’s research focuses on applied mathematical modelling, particularly in traffic flow dynamics, where she has contributed to studies on heterogeneous vehicular traffic and fractional-order modelling techniques, with publications in reputable outlets such as Physica A. In addition to teaching and research, she has supervised undergraduate research projects and she is actively engaged in professional networks that promote inclusivity and advancement in mathematics, including the Eastern Africa Network for Women in Basic Sciences (EANWOBAS), Uganda Women Mathematicians (UGAWOM), and African Women in Mathematics, demonstrating her commitment to both academic development and collaborative scientific communities.
