Mr. Isala served as a unviversity librarian of Busitema University between 2010 and 2020, he has a vast exprience in librarianship and administration,having served as a librarian I between 2005 and 2007 and between 2008-2009 at Gulu university and Busitema university respectively. As a university librarian, he was in charge of administration and management of Busitema University Library and Information Services, development of University Library collection through mobilization of information resources. He was also in charge of directing and supervising junior staff in Busitema University Library, Cataloguing & classifying all information resources, ensuring standards in document processing. He also supervised the Compiling of book order lists of Information materials , creation and maintenance of databases of all processed materials among other duties. Mr. Isala is currently a senior librarian based at marinetime institute at the college of natural resources and environmental sciences Namasagali campus
