Mr. Simati Sam served as a classroom teacher 2004 - 2006, Director of Studies 2007 - 2008 at Kisozi Progressive SSS – Kamuli. In 2008, he joined Busitema University Library as a Library Security Assistant, He was among the team which organized Pallisa Campus library in 2016, appointed as Librarian II in 2020 heading technical section at Main campus where he used to monitors Library Users' adherence to library rules, regulations and guidelines for accessing information materials, Participates in selection, acquisition, dissemination and preservation of information materials, Populate the institution repository and other Online library platforms.
He supervised library Assistants in all technical Library works, Process all information material through Cataloguing, Indexing, Classifying and abstracting. He also Monitored and reported the performance of ICT network in library, Delivers information literacy and User education trainings to library users, Represented his supervisors on different occasions and any other delegated library function. Above all he Provide research support through training of Library users.
Currently, he is the Campus librarian at Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Science – at Arapai. He is Responsible for the development, control, management and coordination of all library and information services of the campus. His noble aim is to see that users’ information needs are answered.
