Koyada Ssemirembe is an Information Processing Assistant at Busitema University and a graduate of Library and Information Science from Makerere University, he is currently persuing his Masters degree in Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States of America. With a strong focus on the influential role of technology in today's information age, Koyada has worked with the University Library since 2021. He has contributed to the transformation of the university's library and information services. At Busitema University, Koyada has participated in the digitization and automation of various library processes, including the digitization of over 20,000 library items and populating of an institutional repository with over 3,000 items.
Koyada has also worked as a content developer for various university websites which has been pivotal in improving the university’s Webometric rankings in the country and e globally. He has also been involved in digitalizing library material transfers between campus libraries and compiling a digital staff profiles director Through his dedication and application of practical skills, Koyada continues to advance the technological capabilities of Busitema University's library services, making an impact in his field and contributing to the academic excellence of the University.
Koyada participated in the Work Readiness Programme Funded by European Union through Private Sector Foundation Uganda , which further equipped him with essential skills and knowledge that have been vital in his professional development and success.
