Dr. Richard L. Maseruka is a Pharmacist registered in Ugandaand a Biochemist with post graduate training and interest in Natural products chemistry, drug discovery and development. He is currently working at the Natural Products Research and Innovation Centre of Busitema University with a team developing a remedy for diabetes mellitus from natural sources. He also volunteers as a tutor and teacher of pharmacology at BUFHS where he has taught basic pharmacology and chemotherapy to 2nd and 3rd year medical students. He has more than 10 years experience in training of medical students specifically teaching medical biochemistry in undergraduate MBChB, pharmacy and nursing programs since 2009 at various Institutions in Uganda. He has management experience as Head of department of Biochemistry at King Ceasor University (2022-2023) and as Project Administrator at BUNaPRiC (Oct 2023-Date). He is a prospective student of Ph.D in Pharmacology which is being proposed and considered at BUFHS department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics where he will pursue research work in in silico pharmacology and natural product chemistry
